Pecha Kucha
A Pecha Kucha is a Japanese presentation style. In the original set-up, 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds total). For our activity, you are going to create a slide presentation with 10 slides. The first slide says: J'imagine... (I imagine) and the last slide says J'imagine parler en français (I imagine speaking French). For the rest of the slide show, think of phrases that demonstrate all the wonderful things that will happen when you are able to speak French.
In the first part of the sentence, "J'imagine..." the verb is conjugated with the subject pronoun. This means that the second verb is in the infinitive. If you are not sure what this means, please see me.
You may find photos for your slide show on Flickr, however, if you do not use your own photos, you must be sure to only search Creative Commons photos. Be sure to include a link on each photo that shows where you found it...this is a way that we can attribute the author of the photo and show that we borrowed the photo.
This slideshow will eventually go on your blog that you will create and be shared with the rest of the class. You can see an example of what your slideshow might look like below.
