Voyager
Imagine that you were going to visit a foreign country. What would you need to do to get ready?
For this module, you are going to plan a trip to a francophone country. There will be a series of steps of what you need to accomplish. You will post your various completed activities to your blog.
Step 1: Mon passport
You may use the document attached below to create your passport or you may create your own. If you choose to use a printed copy, you can ask me to scan it for you when you are done so that you can upload it to your blog. If you do not wish to use your real name, you may choose another identity for the purpose of this activity.

Step 3: Faire mes valises
Before going on a trip, you need to plan what you will take and pack your suitcase. For this activity, you will create a Haiku Deck presentation of what is in your suitcase. Plan what you will need to bring for your 10 day trip. Your items should reflect your travel destination and the time of year you will be going. For example, you will probably not need to pack a sweater or gloves if your destination is in Africa. However, if you are planning a ski vacation in Switzerland or the French alps in December, these are things you might need.
If you have never traveled on a big trip before and are not quite sure what you will bring, or are not sure what some items in French are called, the following links which help people plan their packing for a trip might be of help: liste des essentiels de la valise, check-list pour sac de voyage, or ma liste de voyage. Make sure you know what all the items are that you will be bringing. You will be marked on this.
To share your presentation on your blog, you will need to use the "embed code." If you are not sure how to do this, please let me know and I will help you.

Step 4:
For this part of your project, you need to do a bit of research about what you will see and do in the city you are visiting. Which hotel will you stay at? Are there specific tourist attractions you will visit? How will you spend your time? When you have every day accounted four, you will make another presentation using Haiku Deck. It will be a journal of your trip as you take it. Start with the date for each day. Next, you will need to write at least 3 sentences for each day of your trip if you are in grade 9 and 5 sentences if you are in grade 10. Pay attention to your verb tenses. Are you talking about what you are doing right now (present tense), what you are going to do (future tense) or what you did (past-tense)? If you need help with this part, come see me. Please make sure you see me to correct your grammar before you publish your slide show to your blog. See below for an example of this activity.
